New CEO for UzAuto Motors: Great confidence in Janos Kovacs

An important organizational change has been made at UzAuto Motors JSC - an experienced specialist Janos Kovacs has been appointed to the position of General Director of the company. This decision was made at a meeting of the Supervisory Board of UzAuto Motors JSC and officially announced.

Janos Kovacs has been working effectively as a member of the Supervisory Board and Audit Committee of the company in recent years. Now, having taken over the leadership of the company, he will have the opportunity to fully apply his rich experience and knowledge.

The new CEO was born in Hungary. He began his successful career after graduating from the Budapest Technical University with a degree in engineering in automotive technologies. During his career, Janos Kovacs has held leadership positions in a number of major international automotive giants - General Motors, Opel, GM Powertrain Uzbekistan, UzAuto Peugeot Citroën Automotive and VinFast Automotive.

Janos Kovacs has extensive experience, in particular, in the areas of quality management, production process improvement, automobile plant management, innovation and the introduction of high-tech solutions. Under his leadership, UzAuto Motors strives to modernize, increase competitiveness, and reach a new level.

It is worth noting that the company was headed by Swedish Bo Andersson from August 2021 to the end of 2024. Later, the former head of Avtooyna, Odiljon Bastamkulov, was appointed acting CEO.

Currently, UzAuto Motors' parent organization, Uzavtosanoat JSC, has been headed by Shavkat Umrzakov since March 2023.

It is no secret that with the new leader, new innovations, technological innovations, and qualitative changes are expected from UzAuto Motors.
