President Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected the construction of Tashkent-Sharqi Airport on June 18.
"With the country's sustainable development and increasing its international attractiveness, foreign economic relations are becoming more active and investment flows are increasing. In such conditions, Uzbekistan is paying priority attention to the modernization of all areas of transport infrastructure as a key factor for growth.

One of such strategic projects is the reconstruction of Tashkent-Sharqi Airport. It is designed to ensure fast, safe and convenient flights that meet high international standards, as well as to ease the load on the main international airport of the capital," the president's press service said in a statement.
The 4-kilometer runway was renovated here, and the airport has the capacity to accommodate even the heaviest aircraft.

Currently, 2 terminals, aprons and hangars are being built for high-ranking guests and business aviation. The airport will be equipped with advanced radio and meteorological equipment of ICAO category III-A, ensuring take-off and landing even in adverse weather conditions. Modern conditions will be provided for the safe and orderly storage of aircraft in closed hangars.
Due to its convenient location, the new airport will become an important transport hub for the capital and the city of New Tashkent, as well as serve as an additional incentive for the development of tourism in the Tashkent region. Most importantly, the opportunities for international visits and business trips will expand, and the conditions for receiving foreign investors will improve. As a result, economic activity will increase, the service sector will develop, new jobs will be created, and the investment attractiveness of our country will significantly increase.

The head of our state got acquainted with the technical characteristics of the project, the architectural solution of the terminals, and gave specific instructions to accelerate construction work and improve the level of service. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
