A large pipeline exploded in Surkhandarya - flood threat averted

In an official statement from the regional administration, it is stated that the situation has been completely brought under control. No one was injured and there were no casualties. Measures are also being taken against the spread of unverified rumors and panic among residents.

Analysts say that at such high-risk facilities, regular preventive maintenance must be carried out. Because even a minor technical fault in high-pressure equipment can lead to serious consequences. Especially in regions rich in water resources, such as Surkhandarya, these systems are crucial for ensuring the population’s living standards.

To reassure citizens, authorities are addressing them through the media and recommend obtaining information only from official sources. They remind that actions aimed at “spreading panic” may complicate the situation.

Specialists emphasize that water supply has been restored in a balanced manner. All pumping units have been inspected and reactivated. Thanks to the effective actions of more than 20 specialists and machinery, the pipeline was put back into operation in a short time.

Based on this, it is recommended to strengthen technical order and discipline, as well as to conduct monthly inspections.
