How will conscripts be selected for military service under the new regulation?
In Uzbekistan, a new regulation has been approved to make the conscription and selection system for military service more transparent and efficient. According to the relevant resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, new rules have been introduced for selecting conscripts and preparing them for military service.

This document is aimed at improving the process of selecting young people for the ranks of the country's military and raising the level of preparation. Now, special interviews will be organized at the conscripts' place of residence with the participation of their parents and mahalla activists. Through this, the psychological, moral, and social condition of the candidates will be thoroughly examined.

According to the new procedure, in the process of selecting citizens for military-technical training and conscription, local government bodies, the mahalla, and representatives of the public will participate together with the Ministry of Defense and its regional divisions.

During the selection process, an admissions commission will be formed, including representatives of various fields—especially defense specialists, public figures, and local leaders. The commission will assess the physical condition of candidates based on main criteria such as strength, endurance, and agility. These tests will clearly show the level of young people's readiness for military service.

Based on the results of the selection, commission members make decisions and give relevant recommendations. On this basis, the list of those admitted to study military-technical specialties is formed. The defense authorities make the relevant decision and pay special attention to ensuring transparency in this process.

On the other hand, the Leadership Council under the defense departments of Karakalpakstan, all regions, and the capital will make the final decision on conscription for fixed-term service.

It is noteworthy that conscripts can participate in this selection only once a year. This increases the responsibility of each candidate and encourages a serious approach to preparation. If the results are unsatisfactory, they will have to wait until the next year.

The adoption of the new regulation demonstrates the state's attention to the future of youth and a responsible approach to the military sphere. Such rules help to strengthen the principles of justice and equality among young people and ensure that only worthy individuals are selected for military service.

In the coming years, time will show how this decision works in practice. One thing is clear: through the new procedures, the process of selection for military service will be even more open, fair, and based on modern criteria.
