Uzbekistan’s aviation industry has taken a new step — “Qanot Sharq” airline has successfully connected Tashkent and Shanghai with a direct air route. This flight was successfully carried out, opening a new chapter in relations between the two countries.
From now on, two major and strategically important cities — Tashkent and Shanghai — will be regularly connected by air twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays. This is not just a flight, but a key foundation of strategic cooperation.
The launch of direct flights will further strengthen mutually beneficial ties between Uzbekistan and China. In particular, this development will create favorable conditions for businessmen of both countries. Travel time will be significantly reduced, logistics will be simplified, and opportunities for fast delivery of high-value cargo will increase.
Enhancing the investment climate, expanding trade turnover, and developing tourism potential — all of this will gain momentum thanks to this flight. Additionally, it will become easier for Chinese tourists to visit Uzbekistan’s historic cities such as Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva.
Shanghai is not only China’s, but also Asia’s financial and business hub. Now Uzbek entrepreneurs have the opportunity to fly directly to this global city, opening the door to new markets, partners, and opportunities.
The launch of the flight is not just a technical step — it contributes to the expansion of diplomatic, economic, and cultural cooperation. The initiative by “Qanot Sharq” will become a new air bridge connecting the two nations.
