
As a result of a large-scale operation carried out in cooperation with the Department under the Prosecutor General’s Office, the administration of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the State Security Service and law enforcement officers, a significant operation was implemented. As a result of these actions, Berdakh Karakalpak State University lecturer G.N. was detained as a suspect of violating the law.
According to investigation data, lecturer G.N., using his acquaintances and influence, entered into the trust of citizen A.D. through deception. He promised, via his acquaintances in high-ranking positions, to ensure that A.D. and 17 other students would successfully pass their final exams and received a total amount of 18.3 million soums. The guilty person was caught with material evidence at the moment of receiving the cash.
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 168 (fraud) and Article 28, 211 (giving a bribe) of the Criminal Code, and investigative actions have begun. The General Prosecutor’s Office emphasized that, based on the investigation results, a lawful decision will be made.
This case is expected to serve as a warning lesson for ensuring fairness and transparency in the university’s education system. As officials noted, preventing such cases in educational institutions and strengthening the trust of students and parents is a top priority of state policy.
