Prices for hot water and heating services to increase in Tashkent

The Tashkent City Council has adopted a new decision, which is expected to bring significant changes for the residents of the capital and organizations. According to the document adopted on August 22, tariffs for hot water and heating supply services will be significantly increased.

The decision states that tariffs for the population will rise by 15 percent. Legal entities, that is, enterprises and organizations, will have to pay up to 40 percent more. At the same time, tariffs for budget organizations will increase by 18.8 percent.

According to the new regulation:

  • basic tariff without VAT – 711,641 UZS/Gcal;

  • for the population – 139,860 UZS/Gcal;

  • for legal entities – 342,296 UZS/Gcal;

  • for budget organizations – 952,797 UZS/Gcal.

Currently, for the decision to come into force, the document must be signed by the mayor of the city, Shavkat Umurzakov. At the same time, it has not yet been specified from which date the new tariffs will take effect.

Experts emphasize that the increase in tariffs is aimed at financing the heating supply system and ensuring the stability of services. However, naturally, the question of how the population and entrepreneurs will perceive these changes has sparked heated discussions in society.

It should also be noted that problems related to heating and water supply remain relevant in the capital every year. Therefore, it is expected that the new tariffs will affect not only the price but also the quality of the services provided.
