From the beginning of the current year until today, it has become known that employment has been provided to 5 million people in the country. This was announced by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on August 29 in Tashkent at the “New Uzbekistan” park during the festive event dedicated to the 34th anniversary of the country’s independence.
According to Mirziyoyev, thousands of modern enterprises are being established in the country, and social and economic infrastructure facilities are actively developing. This year, a total of 35 billion dollars in investments is planned, and about 9,000 new enterprises and service complexes are expected to be launched. On the eve of the Independence Day celebration, special attention was given to 79 large facilities worth 4 billion dollars, which were put into operation, giving a significant boost to the country’s economy.
In addition, as the President noted, the number of small and medium entrepreneurs has doubled over the past period. Currently, more than 10 million people are working in this sector, earning income and contributing to social welfare.
At the beginning of the year, it was planned to ensure employment for 5.5 million people, but already by the eighth month of the year, the plan for 5 million had been successfully achieved. This indicator reflects a significant expansion of the labor market and economic opportunities in the country.
Furthermore, in 2025, more than 700,000 citizens working abroad voluntarily returned to Uzbekistan and contribute to the country’s development with their skills and labor potential. This also indicates a further expansion of employment and job opportunities in the country.
Thus, the results of ensuring employment in Uzbekistan in 2025 once again proved the effectiveness of the state policy in ensuring economic growth and social stability.
