The draft law on the creation of a legal basis for the construction of toll roads was approved in the second reading. According to the law, the construction of toll roads is permitted only if there is a free road in a certain direction.
At the regular meeting of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, the draft law "On Roads" was considered article by article. The deputies noted that the document is aimed at developing the country's road infrastructure and adapting it to modern requirements.
The project provides for the special consideration of public opinion, environmental impact, and pedestrian amenities when planning and designing roads. At the same time, the costs of restoring communication networks during road construction are also subject to reimbursement.
The law clearly defines the requirements for regulating the movement of heavy and oversized vehicles and the placement of roadside service facilities. One of the most important aspects is the articles on paid routes. Payment for road use must be socially fair and economically justified, meeting the needs of the population and the economy.
At the meeting, the deputies noted that they took into account the opinions and proposals expressed during the preparation of the draft law, adopted the document in an improved form, and sent it to the Senate.
