Autumn has entered its final phase, but the state of nature still reflects a kind of suffering. October is expected to be intensely dry, according to climatologist Erkin Abdulakhatov. According to him, this year's weather conditions and lack of moisture will also affect the winter season.
The expert noted that October is usually the period when ground moisture is restored, but this year the situation is completely different.
"Usually, moisture should naturally fall to the ground this month, but this year this process is almost imperceptible. Our year was very dry. The power of humid air currents is also much lower - it's as if nature is left without water," the scientist said.
In his opinion, such conditions pose a serious threat to agriculture. The condition of the main sown areas and pastures has deteriorated, especially rainfed lands are wintering without moisture.
"Only 50-80% of the normally expected precipitation in October can fall on agricultural lands. This means that this October, following the dry and hot months, is likely to pass almost without moisture," he said.
Thus, this year's winter is not expected to come with severe cold or heavy rains - but its dryness and lack of moisture will be a test for many industries, the climatologist concluded.
