According to the National Statistics Committee, as of October 1, 2025, the population of Uzbekistan exceeded 38 million 69 thousand people, the committee reported.
According to the data, the number of men amounts to 19.1 million (50.4 percent), while women account for 18.9 million (49.6 percent). This figure is 713.7 thousand people, or 1.9 percent higher compared to the same period last year.
In addition, 51 percent of the population lives in urban areas, while 49 percent resides in rural regions. The urban population stands at 19.3 million, and the rural population at 18.6 million people.
Since the beginning of the year, 177 thousand marriages have been registered in the country, while 35.4 thousand families have divorced. According to external migration data, in nine months 1,133 people entered the country, while 7,585 people left it.
Experts note that population growth is associated with stability and the expansion of economic opportunities, and this demographic indicator is considered an important reflection of the social changes taking place in the country.
