In some districts of Tashkent, residents have complained about a change in the color of hot water — it appears rusty, reported the company “Veolia Energy Tashkent.”
According to specialists, this situation is temporary and is related to technical testing of the pipelines before the start of the heating season. As the circulation of water in the system is being restored, the water may temporarily take on a brownish tint.
During the inspection, it was found that in some residential buildings the water flow was supplied through the return pipe. This caused a decrease in temperature and the release of iron particles into the water.
Currently, the company, together with management organizations, is carrying out pipe cleaning and technical water drainage.
Additionally, “Veolia Energy Tashkent” announced that in cases where the water quality deteriorates due to external factors, consumers’ payments will be recalculated.
Experts emphasize that this is a technical process, and the water quality is expected to return to normal soon.
