As part of preparations for the autumn-winter season, nearly 9,800 multi-storey buildings across Uzbekistan have undergone major renovations. During this process, roofs and facades of the buildings were renewed, internal engineering systems were modernized, and basements and entrances were put in order.
Under the program, 244 billion soums of funding were allocated. Additionally, to increase safety and comfort, 1,500 metal doors with coded locks were installed, 14,600 square meters of double-glazed window units and nearly 70,000 energy-saving lighting devices were put in place.
Modernization of elevator systems is also underway: out of more than 500 planned elevators, 300 have already been installed, and the replacement work for the remaining ones continues. Solar panels and collectors have begun to be installed in residential apartments to improve energy efficiency.
To better retain heat in apartments, 195,000 square meters of facades were clad with basalt material. These measures are expected to save 20 million kilowatt-hours of electricity and 2.8 million cubic meters of natural gas.
Earlier, the press service of the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services clarified that cleaning apartment building entrances does not fall within the responsibilities of management company employees.
