
According to the Ministry of Energy's press service, a meeting was held with a delegation from the China National Petroleum Corporation. On October 31 of this year, Minister of Energy Jurabek Mirzamahmudov met with CNPC Chairman Dai Houliang.
Heads of enterprises related to the oil and gas industry also took part in the meeting. During the meeting, the steadily developing cooperative relations between Uzbekistan and China were discussed.
It was noted that these relations are encompassing various fields and are reaching a strategic level. It was emphasized that during the meeting between Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the CNPC Chairman held in Beijing on September 2 of this year, bilateral cooperation was brought to a new stage.
Currently, a number of joint projects are being discussed, including the construction of the "Central Asia – China" gas pipeline, development of gas-condensate fields in the Bukhara region, construction of underground gas storage facilities, development of new fields, as well as projects for training qualified personnel for the oil and gas sector.
