
The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, arrived in Washington on a working visit on November 4 at the invitation of U.S. President Donald Trump. The main events of the visit are scheduled for November 5-6.
The important part of the visit will be the meeting between the two heads of state and the participation of the President of Uzbekistan in the “C5+1” summit, which brings together the leaders of the Central Asian countries and the United States to discuss regional issues. Within the framework of the program, a number of negotiations are planned with representatives of the U.S. Congress, government, and business circles.
The meetings will focus on deepening trade and economic cooperation, discussing investment projects and joint initiatives. In particular, it is planned to explore partnership opportunities in the fields of transport, logistics, and technology.
At the end of the visit, several bilateral documents are expected to be signed. The “C5+1” diplomatic dialogue format was launched at the level of foreign ministers in 2015.
