A new director has been appointed to the Center for Educational Development

A leadership change has taken place at the Republican Scientific-Methodological Center for the Development of Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Yulia Risukova has been appointed as the new head of this center.

She replaces Vokhid Hamidov, who had been serving in this position since June 2023. Hamidov was relieved of his post in accordance with a presidential decree.

On November 4, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration, Khilola Umarova, introduced the new head to the team at a meeting. She also provided information about the priority tasks set by the head of state.

Umarova emphasized the necessity of effectively implementing new education projects in cooperation with relevant organizations. It should be noted that this center was established in April 2023 on the initiative of the president.

The center has broad powers, working on the development of educational standards, curricula and programs, as well as publishing educational-methodological complexes for the preschool, general secondary, and out-of-school education systems. Within the framework of education reforms, special management courses have been introduced in Uzbekistan for candidates for the position of school principal.

Their appointment is carried out through confirmation by the Board of Directors. This reform is aimed at improving management skills in educational institutions.
