In Tashkent, electricity payment for 6,000 subscribers with debt for waste services has been temporarily restricted. This measure was introduced to address the city’s outstanding waste service debt.
On November 5, over 25,000 subscribers were notified via SMS from the short number “2100.” Subscribers who did not settle their debt within 5 days were temporarily restricted from paying for electricity. Currently, total debt for waste services in Tashkent exceeds 582 million soms.
Once the debt is fully paid, the restrictions are automatically lifted. This allows subscribers to resume electricity payments.
From December this year, this procedure will also be applied in other regions of the country. The measure aims to encourage timely payment for services by residents.
