On November 25, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev paid a working visit to the Samarkand region, where he visited the shrine of Imam Bukhari. In the complex, the Quran was recited, prayers were offered with kindness and compassion, and respect was once again shown for the legacy of the great hadith scholar.
In recent years, based on the initiative of the head of state, this complex has been fundamentally renovated and rebuilt in accordance with Imam Bukhari's highly prestigious position in Islamic civilization. In the complex, which covers an enormous territory of 45 hectares, the main mausoleum, a unique mosque for 10 thousand people, an administrative building, a museum, and spacious verandas were built. The 75-meter minarets erected on all four sides of the shrine further enhance the majesty of the entire complex, instantly captivating visitors.

Today, the shrine serves not only as a place of worship but also as a scientific, educational, and cultural center. The innovative museum in the complex demonstrates Imam Bukhari's life, scientific heritage, and activities worthy of the title of "Sultan of Hadith Scholars" through modern interactive tools. Every pilgrim who comes here will feel even more deeply the enormous contribution of our great ancestors to science.
If previously the complex could accommodate 12 thousand people a day, now this figure has been increased to 65 thousand guests. This is the result of an infrastructure that meets international standards, a culture of service, and modern organization. The Imam Bukhari International Research Center and the School of Hadith Studies are also operating effectively in the region.

The development of infrastructure around the shrine has also been established: hotels, trade and service facilities were built with an investment of 570 billion soums. In particular, one four-star and two three-star hotels, as well as 22 family guest houses, have been built. All facilities have been provided with communication networks, and the core of the territory has been fully landscaped. By 2026, it is planned to create even larger-scale landscaping and parking lots.
During the visit, the President gave specific instructions on completing the landscaping work in the complex and emphasized the need to create more comfortable and spiritually enriching conditions for pilgrims. He recognized the shrine of Imam Bukhari as a vivid example of the rich spirituality, historical memory, and creative potential of the people.

In conclusion, this modern and educational center built in Samarkand is becoming a symbol of great heritage not only for Uzbekistan but also for the Islamic world.
