President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed an important document aimed at raising the training of highly qualified personnel in the country to a new level - a resolution "On Measures for the Establishment of the Uzbek-French University." This resolution aims to further strengthen cooperation between Uzbekistan and France in the field of education, introduce modern educational standards, and create opportunities for young people that meet international standards.
According to the decree, an Uzbek-French university will be established, which will operate based on the country's legislation and recommendations developed by a consortium of French universities. This ensures the formation of the university education system in accordance with world standards.
At this university, the educational process will begin in master's programs. Subsequently, it is planned to gradually open bachelor's and doctoral programs in in-demand fields. At the same time, special preparatory courses are being introduced for applicants, and attention is paid to their thorough preparation for the admission process.
The educational process is carried out on the basis of targeted state grants and paid contracts. One of the most important aspects is that graduates are given two opportunities: they can receive a diploma from one of the accredited educational programs of a French university that is part of the consortium, along with a diploma from their university. That is, the graduate will have an internationally recognized document that meets the standards of both countries.
These diplomas are fully recognized on the territory of Uzbekistan. This will expand opportunities for students to work, engage in scientific activities, and study not only within the country, but also abroad.
The establishment of the new university is another important step in the country's higher education system, providing young people with comprehensive knowledge based on international cooperation, a modern approach, and an educational environment close to practice.
