
The strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Hungary has been enriched by another important practical step. At the meeting with the Minister of Public Administration and Regional Development of Hungary, Tibor Navračić, an agreement was reached on a number of new initiatives. Most importantly, Hungary's modern "Smart Villages" concept will be implemented as a pilot project in the Khavast district of the Syrdarya region.
The meeting was also attended by the khokim of the Syrdarya region, Erkin Turdimov, and the acting head of the Agency for Management Effectiveness under the President, Ulugbek Khusainov. The parties noted that in recent years, diplomatic relations between the two countries, based on friendship and trust, have reached a new level. It was noted that this cooperation is expanding not only in the political, but also in the economic and innovation spheres.
During the dialogue, such areas as modernization of public administration, digitalization, and strengthening of executive discipline, based on the experience of Hungary, were discussed in detail. The "Smart Village" model will be aimed at creating a modern infrastructure, digital services, and a favorable business environment in Khavast.
Of particular importance is the fact that the parties have reached a preliminary agreement on the following large projects:
- Creation of an Uzbek-Hungarian Technopark on an area of 50 hectares in the Khavast district;
- Holding a business forum with the participation of entrepreneurs in Budapest, Hungary;
- Opening a Faculty of Fisheries at Gulistan State University in cooperation with the Hungarian University MATE;
- A number of joint programs aimed at introducing innovative management methods.
Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Agency for Management Effectiveness and the Ministry of Public Administration and Regional Development of Hungary.
Within the framework of the document, joint areas of state civil service, personnel training, human resource management, sustainable development of regions, and the implementation of innovative management solutions were identified.
These agreements will undoubtedly contribute to the creation of a modern, technological, and sustainable development model in the Khavast district.
