A new stage of promoting green energy has begun in Uzbekistan

It became clear that the comprehensive policy of Uzbekistan on the development of alternative energy and support for its effective use by the population will be consistently continued in the future. At the next discussion and presentation with the participation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, new plans in the country's energy sector, especially "green" projects aimed at the benefit of the population, were highlighted.

According to the data, next year, based on the Chinese experience, large-scale cooperation projects using solar energy will be implemented in a total of 300 mahallas across different regions of the country. Within the framework of this program, solar power plants with a total capacity of 107 megawatts will be installed, which will further expand the opportunities for local residents to meet their electricity needs from an affordable and stable source.

One of the most important aspects is the direct connection of 30,000 low-income families to the "green" energy network. The electricity generated by them in excess of their own needs will be transferred to the common grid, creating an additional source of income for families. This project will not only ease the economic burden, but also increase the energy independence of the population and contribute to social stability.

Entrepreneurs have also begun to actively participate in this area. This year, small and micro hydropower plants with a capacity of 40 megawatts were built at the initiative of business and the private sector. As a result, 120 million kilowatt-hours of energy were produced annually, which has become a stable and uninterrupted source of additional income for entrepreneurs.

The plans for next year are even more ambitious: the construction of small and micro hydropower plants with a capacity of 65 megawatts is planned throughout the country. The President noted that as a result of these programs, the electricity supply of at least 80,000 households will be raised to a qualitatively new level.

In conclusion, "green energy" in Uzbekistan is becoming an important strategic sector for future generations, combining the interests of the population, business, and the state. These changes, along with strengthening the country's energy security, also accelerate the path to an environmentally sustainable life.
