Museums of Uzbekistan will be digitized, a new era for tourists will begin

Another important draft resolution is being prepared in Uzbekistan, aimed at raising the activities of cultural heritage sites and museums to a completely new level, developing them based on modern technologies, and dramatically increasing the flow of tourists. This document, which is expected to be approved by the Cabinet of Ministers, aims to expand the coverage of services in the country's museums and create convenience for visitors through modern digital solutions.

According to the project, it will now be possible to "virtual travel" to museums and pilgrimage sites. Visitors will receive detailed information about the exhibits through QR codes, and through special mobile applications, they will be able to complete all the processes, from purchasing tickets to using other services, in one step.

The draft resolution also approves a comprehensive program of measures to increase the potential of cultural heritage. For the coordinated implementation of these tasks, a special Organizing Committee will be created, which will be tasked with developing "road maps" and coordinating the activities of all responsible agencies.

The Cultural Heritage Agency, the Academy of Sciences, the Ministry of Digital Technologies, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and regional khokimiyats perform very important tasks in the following areas:

- full digitization of entrance tickets to museum and archeology objects and connection to the single electronic system of BOYAET;

- phased digitization of objects, collections, and archival materials stored in museum funds;

- installation of guide signs, interactive maps, and information with a QR code on objects;

- development and implementation of "virtual travel" platforms for state museums;

- creation of a personal brand of each museum - museum brandbook, radical renewal of official websites, development of mobile applications.

At the same time, in order to further increase the tourism potential, such tasks as organizing info-tours, actively attracting foreign and local tourist companies, optimizing ticket prices, and processing the expositions in a modern format are also included in the plan.

In conclusion, it can be said that this decision, along with preserving cultural heritage, will serve to make it more open, modern, and attractive for the people and tourists. Museums will no longer be just places of exhibits - they will become interactive, places of knowledge and impressions.
