
On December 5, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the heads of leading Chinese companies in Tashkent. During the negotiations, issues of expanding practical cooperation and promoting mutually beneficial cooperation projects aimed at introducing modern technologies and engineering solutions in the energy sector were discussed.
The growing interest of Chinese companies in implementing projects in Uzbekistan was noted with satisfaction. This year, it is planned to attract more than $15 billion in direct investments from China, and the total portfolio of joint projects is about $90 billion.
Special attention was paid to the energy sector as an important area of multifaceted cooperation. With the participation of Chinese partners, more than 30 projects with a total capacity of almost 10 gigawatts and a total value of more than 9 billion dollars are being implemented. Today, 14 additional projects worth almost $2 billion were launched.

Plans for the expansion of existing photovoltaic power plants, the construction of new ones, and the creation of additional storage capacities were discussed with the President of China Datang, Zhou Yuanlong. The company's initiatives to train personnel, open a research laboratory, and introduce renewable energy technologies in agriculture and livestock farming were supported.
In a conversation with the head of China Energy Engineering Corporation, Xu Liu, the joint efforts to build solar power plants and energy storage systems in the regions were highly appreciated.
The importance of promoting projects for the development of alternative energy and high-voltage networks was emphasized.
Chairman of the company "Sinoma Energy" Men Xinlin reported on the progress of construction of a wind power plant and a plant for localization of blades for wind turbines. An exchange of views also took place on the technological solutions proposed by the company for waste treatment in the chemical and construction industries. The need to accelerate work on these projects was emphasized.

Measures to accelerate the construction of wind power plants in the regions of the country were discussed with the General Director of Universal Energy Nan Yi.
The effective operation of the newly commissioned cogeneration plant was discussed with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of China General Technology, Kang Hubyao. An agreement was reached to expand the company's investment activities in Uzbekistan.
The Head of State supported the plans of the General Director of Poly Changda Engineering, Miao Zhechun, to build an energy storage system next year as a logical continuation of the solar power plant launched today.
