Uzhydromet issues emergency warning for December 10-12

Uzhydromet warned the country’s population about a possible weather hazard on December 10–12. According to the information, due to heavy precipitation and a rapid change in temperature, the likelihood of snow avalanches increases in several mountainous areas.

In particular, it was reported that the level of danger is high in the Chatkal mountain ranges of Bostanlik, Ohangaron and Parkent districts of Tashkent region, as well as in the Pap district of Namangan region.

Authorities request residents of mountainous areas, visitors to recreational zones, and drivers traveling in these directions to take maximum precautionary measures.

According to the warning, under the current weather conditions any careless step may lead to serious consequences.
