One of the primary factors in achieving high efficiency in agriculture is the preparation of knowledgeable agronomists with a modern mindset. For this reason, a completely new system aimed at supporting young specialists is being introduced in the country. According to the initiative, skilled young agronomists with theoretical and practical expertise will receive a monthly salary of $2,000 and be provided with guaranteed job opportunities in districts specifically focused on agriculture.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that this initiative will contribute to improving the quality and expertise of specialists in the agricultural sector. Currently, 180 students of the Agricultural University are undergoing practical training in leading farms and advanced clusters under a dual education system. Farmers and cluster managers who train these students and familiarize them with practical work are compensated 5 million soums for each student, while the students themselves are awarded a monthly stipend of 1.5 million soums.
The most significant aspect of this program is directing young specialists, who have gained practical experience, to guaranteed employment in 167 agricultural districts. They will actively contribute to increasing productivity by implementing modern agro-technologies, promoting high-yield crop varieties, developing high-quality seed production, and reducing costs.
The $2,000 salary for agronomists is expected to make the profession more attractive to young people. This not only enhances the prestige of the profession but also serves to develop a new generation of professionals in the agricultural sector.
By supporting young talents, a new wave, improved quality, and significant achievements in the country's agricultural sector are anticipated.
