Mirziyoyev familiarizes himself with new gastronomic street in Tashkent

Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev familiarized himself with the operation of the gastronomic tourist street organized on O'zbekiston ovozi Street in the Mirzo Ulug'bek district of Tashkent city. This project became one of the practical results of the state policy on developing domestic tourism and diversifying the service sector. This facility, with a total length of 2.1 kilometers, was commissioned in September 2025. Uzdaily.uz reports.
A modern infrastructure was created in the area based on the architectural concept developed by Russian bureaus "City Makers" and "Lyudi Arxitektors". Pedestrian and bicycle paths, recreation areas, sports grounds, children's eco-zones, and a rope park have been built here. The total cost of the project is 40 billion soums, with 165 retail outlets located along the street. 89 of them operate 24/7, creating 2,221 new jobs.
The head of state was also informed about plans to develop tourist and gastronomic streets throughout the capital. In 2025, 26 streets in Tashkent were switched to 24/7 operation, with 540 billion soums allocated for this. This year, it is planned to establish another 18 such streets, launch 500 new facilities, and create about 7,000 jobs. The President gave instructions to officials on improving service quality and implementing new investment projects.
