When are Trump-Putin talks planned?
High-ranking officials from the United States and Russia will meet in Saudi Arabia next week to discuss a potential meeting between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin. According to Bloomberg sources, the talks between the heads of state are scheduled to take place at the end of February.

Details of the meeting are still being worked out, and it is expected that US National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, as well as the President’s special envoy for the Middle East, Steve Whitcoff, will participate.

The purpose of the meeting in Saudi Arabia is to determine the date for the Trump-Putin talks, which are planned to be held before the start of the sacred Ramadan month for Muslims, i.e. by March 1, 2025.

According to agency sources, representatives of Ukraine are also expected to participate in the meeting between the two heads of state. However, most European politicians have not yet been informed about the preparations for this meeting.

On February 12, Donald Trump called Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky. Following the call, he announced that he agreed to begin negotiations to end the war.

Volodymyr Zelensky has repeatedly stated that negotiations on Ukraine will not be conducted without Ukraine’s participation.

Trump’s special envoy on Ukraine and Russia, Kit Kellogg, said on February 15 that Europe will not be present at the peace negotiation table for Ukraine.
