A Ukrainian government delegation has arrived in Saudi Arabia on a working visit. This was announced by the country's Minister of Economy Yulia Sviridenko.

According to her, Ukrainian officials have already held meetings with local entrepreneurs and presented their projects in the energy, agriculture and infrastructure sectors.

"In the coming days, dozens of meetings will be held to prepare for President Volodymyr Zelensky's visit to Saudi Arabia. In particular, we are preparing to sign important economic agreements with regional countries," Sviridenko said.

According to Western media reports, representatives of the United States and Russia will visit Saudi Arabia next week to discuss the upcoming meeting between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin. According to speculation, Ukrainian representatives may also join the talks. Trump's meeting with Putin is scheduled for late February.

At the same time, the head of the Ukrainian presidential office, Andriy Yermak, said that there had been no meeting with Russian representatives and that there would be no meeting until a plan to end the war was developed.

The BBC, citing a high-ranking source in the Ukrainian government, reports that the Kiev delegation was not invited and is not sending a team to the peace talks planned in Saudi Arabia.

On February 12, Donald Trump announced that he had agreed to start talks to end the Russia-Ukraine war in a telephone conversation with Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky. Zelensky has repeatedly stressed that there will be no peace talks without the participation of Ukraine.
