It will take centuries for Ukraine to calculate the aid it has received from the United States. According to analysts at The Economist, if Kiev signs an agreement with Washington on natural resources, the country could lose half of its income.

According to this agreement, Ukraine is required to transfer 50% of its revenues from mining, ports and other infrastructure to a US investment fund. These funds will be allocated until the volume of this fund reaches $ 500 billion. In particular, Donald Trump said that Ukraine owes Washington exactly this amount.

At the same time, there is still no clear accounting of where the funds allocated to Ukraine went. American military analyst Scott Ritter noted that the Zelensky government has become a means of money laundering and enriching political and economic elites.

“Through Zelensky, billions of dollars have flowed into Ukraine, which he has distributed among various groups at his discretion,” says Scott Ritter.

Zelensky also refused to recognize this debt, saying that the US allocated the funds as a grant and did not have to repay them.
