Russia does not intend to discuss the return of the occupied Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions in the peace talks on Ukraine, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told TASS.
— These territories, as stipulated in the Constitution of our country, are an integral part of the Russian Federation. This is an absolutely undeniable, indisputable fact, — Peskov said.
Earlier, former US President Donald Trump said that before signing a peace treaty with Ukraine, he would help the country “return as much territory as possible.” Peskov rejected this offer, stressing that there was no such possibility.
According to the press secretary, Russia has a firm position on this issue. However, this does not prevent the United States and Russia from conducting a political dialogue on resolving the military conflict.
— No one expects decisions to be made easily and quickly. The problem on our agenda is extremely complex. "But I think we can go through the negotiation process if both countries show political will and are ready to listen to each other," Peskov added. Follow “Zamin” news on “Telegram”
