Putin said that Russia does not want to side with anyone in the situation in Ukraine
Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced that Moscow will not make any concessions on Ukraine. He stressed that Russia needs a decisive option that will ensure peace and security in the historical perspective.

Putin: "We don't need anyone else's anything, but we won't give ours either"

The Russian President expressed his opinion on the situation in Ukraine at a meeting with employees of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation. According to him, Russia wants to find a peaceful solution to the conflict in Ukraine on terms favorable to it.

"We must choose a peace option that suits us, one that will ensure peace for our country in the long-term. We need an option that will ensure the sustainable development of our country in conditions of peace and security. We do not need anything from anyone, but we will not give up our own," Putin said.

What conditions is Moscow putting forward?

Putin listed the following conditions for a ceasefire in Ukraine:

1. The Ukrainian Armed Forces must completely withdraw from the territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, Kherson and Zaporizhia;

2. Ukraine must refuse to join NATO.

At the same time, Moscow rejected the possibility of territorial concessions and condemned the idea of \u200b\u200bplacing peacekeeping forces on Ukrainian territory, proposed by European countries.

Europe plans to send peacekeeping troops to Ukraine

Earlier, there were reports that France, Great Britain and other European countries were working on a proposal to send peacekeeping forces to Ukraine.

According to the Telegraph, London and Paris have developed a joint peacekeeping plan that would involve sending at least 30,000 European soldiers to Ukraine.

This initiative was sharply criticized by Russia, and Moscow stated that it would not accept the entry of European peacekeeping forces into Ukrainian territory.

What is the nature of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine?

According to international experts, the possibility of sending troops to Ukraine by European countries could further intensify the conflict between Moscow and the West. Russia may view this as direct Western intervention in the Ukrainian conflict.

At the same time, US and European diplomats are continuing diplomatic efforts to establish peace in Ukraine. There is information that peace talks may be held in the coming weeks.

Time will tell how the situation will develop, but for now, neither Russia nor the West is making any concessions.
