Ukraine won’t hand over four regions to Russia — Kellogg gives Trump a firm “no”

Ukraine will never agree to give Russia full control over Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Luhansk, and Donetsk. This was stated by Trump’s special envoy for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, according to Reuters on April 11.

Kellogg vs. Witkoff

According to Politico, Kellogg’s stance directly opposes that of Trump’s Middle East envoy Steven Witkoff, who visited St. Petersburg on April 11 and met with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Reuters sources say Witkoff supports a strategy of granting Russia control over four Ukrainian regions as a quick path to a ceasefire.

“Ukraine will never agree”

During a meeting with Trump, Kellogg pushed back, saying Ukraine may be open to some negotiations, but will never accept handing over all four regions to Moscow.
