
Russian President Vladimir Putin sent his congratulations to the country's population on the occasion of Easter, one of the most important holidays of Orthodox Christians.
In a congratulatory message published on the official Kremlin website, Putin emphasized that Easter gives people feelings of love and hope, faith in goodness and justice.
"The great holiday of Easter gives us love and hope, faith in goodness and justice. At the same time, it unites us around strong spiritual and moral values," the head of state said in his address.
The President also highly appreciated the role of the Russian Orthodox Church and other Christian denominations in society, emphasizing their importance in ensuring social harmony and mutual solidarity.
“As always, the Russian Orthodox Church and other Christian denominations serve as a great inspiring force in strengthening social harmony, mutual understanding between people, in educating the younger generation and preserving family values,” said Vladimir Putin.
The Russian President also highly appreciated the recent initiatives of religious organizations in the patriotic, charitable and educational areas.
