A terrible terrorist attack at an oil refinery in Russia was prevented: details
The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) has foiled a planned terrorist attack at a petrochemical plant in the Nizhny Novgorod region. This was reported by the TASS news agency.

It is reported that two individuals from Central Asian countries were preparing to carry out this terrorist attack. They resisted during the arrest operation and were killed by return fire.

The report did not specify which country the detained foreigners were citizens of. It was noted that they followed the ideas of an international terrorist organization banned in Russia.

“The foreigners, having received instructions from a curator in Ukraine, planned a sabotage and terrorist attack against the petrochemical plant. They intended to use FPV drones equipped with explosive devices for this operation. They offered armed resistance during their capture and were shot and neutralized,” the FSB statement said.

Two drones equipped with foreign-made explosive warheads, a Kalashnikov assault rifle and a Makarov pistol were found at the scene. Also, correspondence with the curator and the coordinates of a secret place where weapons and drones were stored were found on the phones of the perpetrators of the terrorist attack.

Currently, the FSB Investigation Department has opened a criminal case on this attempted sabotage and is conducting an investigation.
