Russian President Vladimir Putin openly discussed some difficulties related to his duties. According to him, due to the large volume of workload and increasing scope of responsibilities, he has less and less time to spend with his family and close ones. However, Putin believes there are certain things that compensate for these negative aspects.
He spoke about this in the documentary titled "Russia. Kremlin. Putin. 25 years," prepared by Saida Medvedeva and Pavel Zarubin.
"Of course, as with any highly responsible position, the presidency has its own complexities. For instance, my workday often extends until late at night. At such times, the ones who suffer most are my family and close ones. But at the same time, I feel the importance of my work for the state and the people, and this brings me great satisfaction. Such feelings compensate for all the difficulties associated with my work," said the Russian leader.
President Putin also addressed the question of his future successor. According to him, it is crucial for Russia to hand over power to a person who has earned the people's trust. He emphasized that in the future, not just one, but several worthy candidates should appear, each of whom should earn the trust of Russians.
"If a person has not earned the trust of the people, they will not have the opportunity to perform serious and significant tasks. Therefore, when I think about a successor—and I constantly reflect on this issue—I believe that many people who can win the trust of our people should emerge, so that the public has options to choose from," said Vladimir Putin.
At the same time, Putin expressed important views on Russia's demographic situation. According to him, the country's current population is approximately 150 million people, but this figure is insufficient for the country.
"With the addition of new territories, the exact number of our population has not yet been calculated. Currently, this number might be around 150 million people. However, for a large country like Russia, this is not enough; we need population growth. Demography is the basis for the potential and future of our country," Putin stressed.
According to the president, the strength of the state, economic growth, and its position on the world stage depend precisely on improving the demographic situation. Therefore, he noted the need to take significant measures to increase the population in the future.
While expressing these views, the Russian leader openly discussed various aspects related to his duties, drawing considerable public attention. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
