The Migration Agency reported on the most recent official data on the sectors with high demand for labor in Slovenia. As of 2025, unemployment in the country is at a record low - only around 3.2-3.5 percent. This indicates a serious shortage of personnel in the local labor market.
Currently, Slovenia has a high demand for labor in the following sectors:
- construction and repair,
- healthcare and patronage services,
- hotel and catering services,
- production and engineering,
- education, information technologies and digital services.
According to the Migration Agency, 1,500 Uzbek specialists and workers specializing in these sectors and with some knowledge of a foreign language can officially start working in Slovenia.
At the same time, the agency is organizing special courses through the "Labor Migration Preparation Centers" to strengthen professional training and language skills. Those who take part in these courses will be closer to obtaining a work permit and employment contract in Slovenia.
Zamin.uz editorial team will continue to cover the opportunities created for Uzbeks in the foreign labor market, ways to work through official agencies, and safe migration.
