75 thousand violators were arrested in Saudi Arabia during the Hajj season!
Saudi Arabia is conducting a large-scale inspection and enforcement operation in connection with the start of the Hajj season. The country's Ministry of Interior announced that more than 75,000 people have been arrested for various violations as part of the campaign called "Preventing Unauthorized Hajj."

According to the Director General of Public Security, Lieutenant General Muhammad al-Bassami, more than 269,000 people who did not have special permits to perform the Hajj in Mecca were turned back across the border. In addition, nearly 76,000 people who disregarded the laws and regulations were arrested and legal measures are being taken against them. These individuals face deportation, heavy fines, and a ban on entering Saudi Arabia for the next 10 years.

According to official data, as a result of the control measures, 252 companies offering fake services to citizens, 1,239 transporters who violated the law, and about 110,000 vehicles that did not meet the requirements were identified, and their entry into the holy city was strictly prohibited.

According to Al-Bassami, high-level modern technologies have been deployed to ensure the security of the cities of Mecca and Medina during the Hajj period. These include unmanned aerial vehicles (drones), surveillance cameras and artificial intelligence systems. He recalled that if security breaches or non-compliance with instructions are detected, ruthless and strict measures will be taken against such cases.

In turn, Major General Salih Al-Murabba, Acting Director General of Passport Services, announced that as of June 1 this year, the number of pilgrims visiting the kingdom had reached 1,475,230.

At the same time, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance and the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Affairs have called on pilgrims to be careful in high temperatures. They have also repeatedly emphasized the need for pilgrims to adhere to the established procedures, approved pilgrimage schedules, and use official means of transportation to travel in the holy cities.

All companies providing Hajj services have been instructed to strictly follow the instructions given to ensure the safety and comfort of pilgrims.

Currently, the high level of the Hajj pilgrimage and the safety of pilgrims are set as the main priority of the Saudi Arabian government. The country's administration firmly states that it will treat any violations with impunity.
