Zelensky: “A new missile threat is now approaching Asia”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has confirmed that the Russian military has again used ballistic missiles imported from North Korea. According to him, the war in Ukraine poses a serious threat not only to the security of Europe, but also to the entire Asian region.

The head of state said that during a meeting with the country's Defense Minister Umerov, he held extensive talks on air defense, effective countermeasures against drones, and missile defense.

As Zelensky noted, drone technologies from Russia and Iran have already reached North Korea, and these technologies are now becoming a global threat. In his opinion, military technologies are rapidly improving during the war, and their spread can threaten world peace.

The President noted that this issue needs to be resolved now, not later:

“Measures must be taken today, not after thousands of upgraded Shahed drones and ballistic missiles target Seoul or Tokyo. Prolonging the war means expanding the threat. Over time, the threat is becoming global.”

Zelensky’s warning should prompt the international community to take serious action. The war’s expansion beyond local borders, especially in the field of military technology, can lead to dangerous trends on a global scale. Therefore, today’s geopolitical situation has become an urgent problem not only for Ukraine or Europe, but for all of humanity.
