Did the Israeli strike put an end to US-Iran talks? What happens now?

Did the Israeli strike put an end to US-Iran talks? What happens now?
Israel’s attacks may completely nullify US–Iran negotiations. Will Iran return to negotiations under unprecedented pressure? How are other states in the region reacting to this conflict? In the Kun.uz studio—political scientists Kamoliddin Rabbimov, Shavkat Ikromov, and comments from Shukhrat Rasul.

Shavkat Ikromov: Iran’s negotiations with the US about its program are directly connected to Israel’s interests. During negotiations, Donald Trump stated, “We will wait 60 days for an appropriate response from Iran, and they must agree to our conditions.” That deadline ended, and on the 61st day, that is, starting from June 13, military actions began.

Now, the continuation of the negotiations is in question. But there is information that Iran cannot continue the war for a long time. Israel will carry out any actions in cooperation with the US, and for Iran to get out of this war, it first needs to reach an agreement with the United States.

That’s why Iran may return to nuclear negotiations under unfavorable conditions. But, according to the information given from the Iranian side, nuclear negotiations will be paused for a certain period. I think Tehran, under military pressure, will not continue negotiations under such conditions.

Kamoliddin Rabbimov: The Saudi foreign minister called Israel’s attack unjustifiable, open, and extremely destructive aggression. Saudi Arabia is not taking Iran’s side; on the contrary, Riyadh has started to fear for itself, because if such a powerful Iran is suffering crushing blows, then no one can guarantee that Saudi, which is closer to Israel by location and distance, won’t one day be hit by such strikes from Tel Aviv.

Saudi Arabia is the leader among Arab states in the region, and most governments follow it. Turkey has also made a very strong statement. Because, for more than a year now, the situation in Gaza has opened the eyes of many to what’s really happening in the Middle East. Israel’s main goal is to gradually create a greater Israeli state.
