NATO on Kremlin’s war potential: How long can Russia keep fighting?
On the world political stage, the problems of the war around Ukraine are becoming more and more acute. According to information announced at the high-level NATO summit in The Hague, the Kremlin, with its current economic capabilities, is able to continue the war at its current intensity at least until 2027.

Has Russia reached the peak of military production?

NATO officials emphasize that Russia has already reached the highest point of military production today, and there are practically no opportunities for further growth in this area. That is, the Kremlin can maintain its current reserves of weapons and soldiers, but resources to further increase this volume are limited.

Peace process – still hopeless

US and NATO diplomats speaking at the summit noted that US international efforts have not yielded any noticeable results so far. Vladimir Putin still considers himself the winner in Ukraine’s military operations and is interested only in short-term agreements that are beneficial solely to Russia.

False intelligence and personnel problems

According to NATO representatives, the Kremlin’s belief in this "victory" is based on incorrect intelligence information. At the summit, an anonymous NATO official admitted that in recent months there have been serious problems with staffing combat units in Ukraine. Vladimir Putin also often raises this issue.

Critical stage: What path will Ukraine choose?

In the current situation, results mainly depend on the strategic decisions that the Ukrainian side has to make. A NATO source emphasized: “How important this is – everything depends on what Ukraine will do about this. They need to take some action.”

Zamin.uz editorial:
At a time when the deadline is tightening and it is becoming clear that the conflict may continue for many years, both sides need to make new strategic and political decisions. The situation between Ukraine and Russia remains crucial for global security and the future of Europe.
