Zelensky: The US Has Resumed Weapons Deliveries

The United States has resumed the delivery of weapons to Ukraine. This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in his video address to the nation on Friday. According to him, positive political signals have come from the United States and European countries.

“We have clear and strong political signals at the highest level. These are good signals, and it is especially encouraging that they are coming from the US and our European friends. According to all information, weapon deliveries have resumed,” Zelensky said in his address.

However, the Ukrainian leader did not specify which types of weapons systems are being delivered. He only noted that new defense aid packages from European countries are being prepared. These steps are extremely important for Kyiv, as the situation at the front is serious, and targeted defense assistance will strengthen the capabilities of the Ukrainian army.

“Next week, we will continue our military cooperation with the American side. In particular, our military will work with General Kellogg. We are also preparing new European defense packages,” added the President of Ukraine.

For context, on July 1, Politico, citing the White House, reported that the Pentagon had temporarily suspended the delivery of Patriot missiles and other high-precision munitions to Ukraine due to concerns over the depletion of the US’s own stockpiles.

Furthermore, CBS reported that temporary restrictions have been imposed not only on Ukraine but also on other countries. These measures are part of a large-scale inventory and security review being conducted by the Pentagon.

Zelensky’s new statement once again demonstrates that the US and European countries are ready to expand military support to Kyiv. It is expected that in the coming weeks, Ukraine will receive new military aid packages, including air defense systems, artillery shells, and precision-strike weapons.
