
A confrontation with a criminal near Kyiv led to serious consequences for the police. The incident occurred on July 13 in the village of Mykhailivka-Rubezhivka and ended with several law enforcement officers injured.
According to reports, a 41-year-old man was threatening his family inside the house with a grenade and a firearm. A police patrol quickly arrived at the scene following a distress call.
Attempts to resolve the situation peacefully failed. When the officers approached the house, the man threw a grenade at them. As a result of the explosion, five police officers were injured and taken to the hospital.
It was noted that the attacker continued to resist with firearms and was shot dead on the spot by return fire.
