In the coming days, another important event is expected on the international political stage: delegations from Ukraine and Russia will gather in Turkey for the next round of negotiations, reports RBC-Ukraine. According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in his traditional evening address, the meeting is expected to take place on July 23 or 24 — the two sides have provided different information regarding the date.
Zelensky emphasized that this time the main focus will be on prisoner exchange, the return of children abducted by Russia, and preparations for a new leaders’ meeting. Previously, the sides held negotiations in Istanbul twice — on May 16 and June 2. As the main issue, an agreement was reached on the exchange of prisoners, and several versions of memorandums were exchanged.
According to TASS, Russian officials have not yet confirmed the exact date of the meeting. However, at the end of June, Moscow declared full readiness for a new stage of negotiations.
