Former Israeli officials urge Trump to help end Gaza war
More than 600 former Israeli security officials, including ex-heads of Mossad and Shin Bet, have sent an open letter to U.S. President Donald Trump, asking him to help immediately end the war in Gaza.

According to them, Hamas no longer poses a strategic threat to Israel, and the war has lost its just foundation.

“Your credibility among Israelis can urge the government to make the right decision: end the war, return the hostages, stop the suffering,” the letter said.

The appeal comes as military operations in Gaza are expanding, and pressure from the international community and public opinion is mounting.

Since the start of the war, over 60,000 people have been killed, and hundreds of children have died from hunger. The UN has called the situation “the worst-case scenario of famine.”

The former officials reminded Trump of his past involvement in the Lebanon war and urged him to contribute to peace in Gaza as well.
