In Japan, a children's toy turned out to be a real weapon

Japanese law enforcement authorities have decided to recall around 16,000 toy pistols from the market. The reason — these pistols can potentially be converted into real firearms. This was reported by Pravilamag.

Mini-revolvers under the name Real Gimmick were intended for children aged 12 and older and were distributed as prizes in game machines across the country. These seemingly harmless toys were imported from China and came with plastic bullets.

However, examinations revealed that with certain technical modifications, these pistols could pose a serious threat and be used as real weapons. Authorities warn that handling such pistols is dangerous — they could fire unexpectedly or even explode in the user’s hands.

Possession of such weapons is strictly regulated under Japanese law, and keeping them without the proper license is a criminal offense.

Police are now urging all buyers and users to hand over these pistols, as urgent measures are being taken to ensure public safety and protect children's lives.
