Iran arrests 20 suspected Israeli spies
Iran has arrested 20 people in recent months suspected of links to Israel's Mossad intelligence agency. Officials from the country’s judiciary said that full details will be released after the investigation is complete. Authorities stressed that no leniency will be shown to the accused, and that strict sentences will serve as “an example” to others.

On Friday, Iran executed nuclear scientist Rouzbeh Vadi, who was accused of spying for Israel. He was found guilty of passing secret information about another nuclear scientist who was killed in an Israeli airstrike on Iranian territory in June.

According to judiciary spokesperson Asghar Jahangiri, charges against some of the 20 detainees have been dropped and they were released. However, the exact number was not disclosed. He also stated that strict measures will be taken against anyone who poses a threat to national security.

According to Iranian officials, at least eight people have been executed in recent months on charges of spying for Israel. This marks a significant increase in such cases since the beginning of the year.

In June, Israel carried out 12 days of airstrikes on Iran, targeting nuclear facilities, military leaders, and residential areas. These attacks killed 1,190 people, including 436 civilians and 435 security personnel. During Iran’s retaliatory strikes, Israel confirmed the death of 28 people.
