Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky once again announced to the world his firm position on the issue of the country’s territorial integrity. According to him, no matter how strong Russia’s desire to seize Ukrainian lands may be, as long as the Ukrainian people stand shoulder to shoulder and act together, this desire will remain an unfulfilled dream.
According to Zelensky, relations between Ukraine and the United States continue almost around the clock, at various levels. The President emphasized that not all information is disclosed in this process, as in diplomacy certain matters must remain secret.
The head of state also touched on historical events in his speech. In his opinion, allowing Russia to seize Crimea later led to the occupation of part of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. In addition, the lack of preventive measures when troops were concentrated on Ukraine’s borders paved the way for a full-scale invasion.
According to Zelensky, at present Vladimir Putin is seeking “forgiveness” for having established full control over the southern part of Kherson region, Zaporizhzhia, the entire Luhansk region, Donetsk, and Crimea. However, the Ukrainian President firmly stated that he will never accept this and will not allow the division of the country.
His statement caused a strong reaction both domestically and internationally. Many analysts consider this speech another diplomatic warning from Ukraine. Ukrainians, in turn, support Zelensky’s firm stance, recognizing that the future of the country lies only in unity and courage.
