Artificial Intelligence Corridor for Passengers Launched at Dubai Airport

Dubai International Airport has introduced the world’s first dedicated corridor powered by artificial intelligence technology. This was reported by AZERTAC. The main goal of the new system is to significantly speed up passenger movement and allow them to pass through immigration control without presenting documents and without stopping.

According to Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai, the AI corridor can simultaneously serve up to ten passengers. He added that the system can identify travelers before they even reach the control checkpoints, ensuring their safety.

The implementation of the new corridor is expected to double the airport’s throughput capacity. It will not only help regulate passenger flows more efficiently but also promptly detect rule violations. In addition, suspicious passports and documents will be immediately referred to the relevant department specialists.

It should be recalled that Dubai International Airport retained its status as the world’s busiest hub for international passenger traffic in 2024. The introduction of advanced technologies will shorten waiting times, ease crowding, and make procedures faster and more convenient for all travelers.
