The US government may soon implement additional requirements in the process of issuing visas for foreigners. According to The Wall Street Journal, it is now planned to separately study and analyze migrants’ activity on social networks.
According to the information, when reviewing applications, special attention will be given to two aspects: statements that may be considered “anti-American” and possible links to terrorism. However, it has not yet been officially defined which statements will be regarded as “anti-American”.
US State Department officials, commenting on this issue, made a sharp statement: “If you don’t like America, then don’t try to live here.”
In addition, it became known that currently the State Department is conducting additional checks on more than 55 million visa holders. If violations of the law or actions contrary to the rules are detected, the visas of such individuals may be canceled, and the foreigners themselves may be deported from the country.
