Turkey sent 25 tons of aid to Afghanistan

Turkey, after the devastating earthquake in Afghanistan, sent humanitarian assistance there.

According to TRT Haber, 25 tons of aid, prepared with the cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority, and the Turkish Red Crescent, were delivered to the region by an Air Force aircraft from Erkilet Airport in Kayseri.

The aid cargo included materials for temporary shelters, hygiene products, food packages, and other necessary items.

For information, on the night of August 31, a strong earthquake with a magnitude of 6.0 occurred in Kunar province, located in eastern Afghanistan. As a result, more than 1,400 people died, over 3,100 were injured, and more than 5,412 houses were destroyed. After the disaster, Kabul requested assistance from Turkey.
